WHAT THE NEIGHBORS ARE SAYING

KatherineThe quality of the landscaping within our community is outstanding and very attractive. It reminds me of an English village with the fountains, fish pond and gazebo. It is delightful to show to my visiting friends. The food at events is as good as any fine restaurant. The reason I decided to live at Independence Village was to no longer have the worry of home maintenance and to have more freedom to travel. I so enjoy the excellent service I receive from the maintenance, housekeeping and concierge staff and when I leave on trips I feel very comfortable knowing someone is caring for my home.

PhyllisSince moving to Independence Village we don't worry about house cleaning, lawn work, home maintenance or property taxes. It is truly a lovely place to retire. The entire staff consistently goes above and beyond and are extremely helpful. We love to invite friends over to experience our lifestyle. Many of our friends have move into one of the communities on our campus; either a home, full service apartment or assisted living here, depending on their needs. We are comfortable knowing that if we need the extra help we can stay within this campus and still see our dear friends.

The big plus of living here are the friends we have made whom share similar experiences and backgrounds. I have been here 7 years. It is very important to have friends and opportunities to meet people your own age with similar interests.

SolerWe are like one big family. I came here to continue to live so socializing is very important.

I play bridge and Mahjongg with my friends here. I love the different events in our Clubhouse/Pub, the group outings and the fact that I can pick and choose whatever I want to do. You don't have to seek out people to do things with they are right here!

We attend the Casino Nights and Big Band Dances. We love to go to the theatre, play golf with our neighbors and join in a friendly poker game each week.

Independence Village is not just for couples. If you are alone this is a perfect place for you too as you have people to go on trips and outings with and you can make wonderful friendships. I know people that have looked from the east to west coast for a retirement place but nothing beats this location, price and services.

All I can say is come and take a look. Living here you get to keep your independence, have comfort and safety – it is all here. Stores, medical facilities and everything you could need are close by. As you have birthdays you might need more help someday and if you do; it is just next door.

We chose the largest house so we could have our kids come to visit. We have a huge family and when we need more room for visitors we use the Guest Suites at our Clubhouse which are first class. Our wonderful neighbors have even opened their homes and extra rooms to our family during family reunions. How nice it is to be surrounded by such lovely people.

My husband enjoyed yard work but we had 5 acres of trees and yard to keep up which we knew he could not do forever. We were helping a friend find Assisted Living who chose Independence Hill Assisted Living. While we were there with her we toured the homes at Independence Village. On the drive home my husband said I think we are moving…. and here we are.

Getting away from doing home maintenance was the big reason we moved! We are free to do something in the yard if we want to but don't have to. It is nice to just turn in a work order and someone is promptly there to fix it.
